United Kingdom · Direct Channel
Varco builds and runs UK direct sales channels for fragrance brands whose products already sell in London through third-party retailers.
Your own channel. Your own prices.Built and operated by us. Owned by you.
The situation
Your product reaches London customers. But the moment your bottles leave the Gulf, every decision that shapes your brand in that market belongs to someone else.
A retailer discounts to hit their own targets. Your bottle appears at one price on one site and thirty percent less on another. You cannot correct it and you were not consulted.
You sit on a page with forty other brands, sorted by price, many of them working from the same designer references you are. Nothing on that page tells a customer why you are different.
A thumbnail and a paragraph of copied text. No account of the brand, no reason the fragrance exists, no notes on how it was built. A customer cannot buy into a story nobody told them.
Resellers sell what is already moving. They do not build your reputation in London. Your brand appears in the market. It does not grow there.
Precedent
Afnan Perfumes runs its own UK storefront at uk.afnan.com. The same bottles sell there at roughly twice what UK resellers charge for them.
Afnan did not build that channel for a small gain per bottle. They built it because other people were deciding what an Afnan fragrance was worth in London, and they wanted that decision back.
The pattern holds across the range. Patchouli On Fire sells at £32 through resellers and £80 on Afnan's own site. Supremacy Not Only Intense sells at £35 through resellers and £65 direct.
Capabilities
Each part below is delivered by us, or by a specialist we appoint and manage. You hold one relationship, not five. You are not asked to learn the rules of a market you do not live in.
UK company formation for non-resident directors, registered office address, VAT and PAYE registration, and banking. No travel to the UK required.
Appointment of a UK Responsible Person, product safety documentation, and cosmetic product notification. Legal responsibility sits with the appointed specialist, not with your team.
Selection and management of a UK warehouse partner, shipping and customs, and stock planning based on what is actually selling.
Your own UK storefront, built to your standard. Your photography, your words, your packaging. Payments, delivery and returns set to what London customers expect from a premium brand.
The part that decides whether the rest matters. We build London demand for the brand and we sell the product. Not a strategy document, an operating channel.
Why now
When your product enters the UK through an importer, that importer holds the Responsible Person obligation. It is convenient while the relationship lasts. It becomes a dependency the moment it does not.
A brand that holds its own compliance position holds its own access to the market.
Every cosmetic product sold in Great Britain must show a UK Responsible Person address by 31 December 2027. Until you hold your own, your right to sell in the UK ends whenever your importer decides it does.
Engagement
We work with a small number of brands at one time. We begin with a short, focused test of selling direct in London, so you see the real return before committing to a full expansion.
At the end you hold real UK trading data and the infrastructure behind it. A registered company, a compliant product, a working channel and a customer base, ready to build a name in London rather than a listing on someone else's page.
We map where your product is sold in the UK, at what prices, and by whom. We tell you whether a direct channel is worth running for your brand, and we say so plainly if it is not.
A short, fixed-term build and launch. Entity, compliance, logistics and channel live and selling under your name, at your prices, presented your way.
We continue to run and grow the channel month to month. Revenue, acquisition cost, retention and customer data reported to you, with the option to expand further.
Book thirty minutes and leave with a straight answer on three things: what a direct UK channel would return, what it costs to run, and whether your catalogue is suited to it.
